Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. You can dress up and make a night of it or wear jeans and a nice shirt for a more quick, easy evening. Good eats are the eggplant Parmesan, crab ravioli (special that evening), and the cannoli!

This place is a great little restaurant in Camp Hill. We went here for lunch one day, and it did not disappoint. The service is efficient and friendly. I had the Delmonico Tuscano: great bread, great sauce, and great cheese. Definitely give this place a try if you are in Camp Hill and need to stop for lunch!

Lovely setting. Delicious chicken Marsala and chicken Parmesan. To die for seasonal local vegetables. Decadent homemade cheesecake. Great service!

We were there Saturday night and the service was AWFUL . It took us over two hours to eat a salad and a main course, no dessert, no coffee. The server told us he was OUT OF FRESH BLACK PEPPER? so we could just use the pepper shaker on the table. We knew this was not true because we saw other tables getting fresh black pepper. He offered my husband red pepper later and never brought it. At some point after our unremarkable salads he came by, cleared our plates and said our main course would be right out. And it was well over a half hour, maybe 40 minutes, before we saw him again. And no apologies. We were almost about to leave because we thought we'd been totally forgotten. The food clearly wasn't worth that kind of wait . Plus we'd made a reservation and the table wasn't ready even tho they weren't crowded. To make it worse, I wrote them an email complaining and never heard back. I told them I'd never return You'd think they'd care? Maybe it was this particular server but we surely crossed this place off our list.

It wasn't amazing but it wasn't awful. The service is fantastic - that was the best part. From the moment we walked in, the 3 of us felt well taken care of without having to ask for anything. I got the salmon special. It seemed a bit overcooked. The topping was slightly burned on 1 end & the fish was a bit too "done". But the pasta (spag) it sat on top was delicious. Tomatoes, tons of garlic (prepare yourself with mints/gum for afterward), & basil made a light, nice addition. My dad had the meat lasagne, another big portion, which he enjoyed. My mom had the spag & meatballs. She was happy with it but not overly delighted. The bread's really good - especially warm out of the oven & dipped in the olive oil/cheese mixture that's on the table. The cannoli - 1 for $4.95 - was OK. Chocolate chips in the cream stuffed into a fried shell. Not bad, just not spectacular. Italian themed decor & a small shop with imported oils, vinegars, dried pasta, etc in the front. It's been around for awhile so must have a following. It's decently priced for the portion servings. BYOB.

What can I say about Nino's Bistro? I was here about a month ago with a large party. We were seated in a private room. The decor of this place is old, and needs to be updated. The salad was nothing special. I had the lemon chicken, which was good. But it was served with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce, which I couldn't understand why. And the sauce was very raw. I split a piece of cheesecake with someone else, and that was OK. The server was friendly, but I thought that it was odd that at 6pm they were already out of one of the specials for the night. I would not be upset if I never went to this restaurant again.

Overall, we were very pleased with service, food and value. Not fancy, kind of outdated but no big deal. We both enjoyed our meal, not huge portions, but right size. Overall a tasty meal, and BYOB is a nice savings :)

Nino's Bistro, Market Street & 18th, Camp Hill *** This place has been here a while but does not seem to have a lot of business. I went with friends. Ambiance is nothing to write about. Service was very good, a delightful young woman who kept on top of things with out interfering. Salad was nothing special. House dressing on the side was tasty. I think it would be nice to be asked if I wanted my salad tossed, it would have given life to it. I had Chicken Picatta. It was cooked well. a nice sauce, but small portion. A homemade bread was served with main course and good for gravy dipping. There was no butter. A small side order of pasta, spaghetti , was also served. The spaghetti had a marinara sauce, which was strange as the Picatta had gravy for the pasta. My friends enjoyed their dishes. For dessert I had the house made tiramasu. Other desserts are not made there. Tiramasu was light and pleasant, at $8, it was expensive. I realized places that are BYOB have a hard job making money just off the food. My advice, reduce the menu ( save money on inventory and prep time), Increase portions until people start mentioning it in reviews like mine, and reduce the cost by a few dollars to increase volume. ninosbistro.com
